Monte Vista resident George Joseph Brunelli, 86, passed away on July 15, 2015. He was born on November 18, 1928 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Frank and Agnes Brunelli. George honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 21, 1964, he married Donna Hansen. He was a Rancher all of his life and from his younger years showing horses, rabbits and cattle. George was also an avid 4-H supporter he was always available to give advice, furnish rabbits and help in any way he could.

George is survived by his wife Donna Brunelli of Monte Vista, his children, Debbie (Tony) Bobicki of Alamosa, Bryan (Stephanie) Brunelli of Monte Vista and Kristy Brunelli-Perrin of Center, his grandchildren, Heather Brunelli, Sara Brunelli, Brooke Perrin, Wyatt Perrin and Dakota Perrin as well as his great grandchild Lance Brunelli and his sister Jackie Filangi of Pueblo and his faithful dog Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Petrovich and his grandson Dustin Brunelli.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday July 20, 2015 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at the Brunelli Ranch in Walsenburg. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com.
