Carl the Expert Sleeper
I thought of Carl this morning. I have insomnia and Carl was the best, soundest, and most determined sleeper I ever knew. We were roommates with some other guys as undergraduates at CU. I can still picture him settling in an easy chair contentedly reading the newly-arrived Popular Mecanics. Carl was very mechanically adept and inventive. I bet the Catepillar Company hated to see him retire. I wish we had kept in touch. A truly great guy.
