Condolence From: Lance Benson
Condolence: Not sure if you remember "Mr. Chang." Mrs. Szkalak was the best teacher I have ever had. I was very saddened to hear of this. She made high school what it should be: fun and carefree, but also made you want to excel. This lady definitely made the world a better place.

Condolence From: Diane Pritza Walker
Condolence: Marie and I were college friends, roommates, became very close, and continued our friendship for the rest of her life. She was a very creative and caring person who had a positive influence on me. Though we hadn't seen each other for over 40 years, we would talk on the phone for hours. She was one of those people you were always comfortable with.

My condolence to her family, friends and all those kitties she loved.

Condolence: My condolences to Marie's family and to her extended Alamosa School family. Our lives were touched by this "earthly" angel. So I celebrate today that her assignment is now watching over all of us who were blessed by her earthly presence. She was just super special and many many kitties think so, too!

Condolence From: Bob and Judy Jones
Condolence: Bob taught with Marie for many years and I had the pleasure of knowing her through community functions. She was a one-of-a-kind gal who will be sorely missed. Marie had a heart of gold and it was always a pleasure to visit with her. Her enthusiasm for her craft and her natural gift for relating to students was special. We are saddened that she is gone and certainly send her family our sympathy and loving support. Bob & Judy Jones
