Obituary for Zakry Johnson

Alamosa- Alamosa resident Zakry Tate Johnson, 18, passed away on December 20, 2012. He was born in Alamosa, Colorado on April 10, 1994 to Jimmy and Becky Johnson. Zak graduated from Alamosa High School in May 2012, and played for the Alamosa High School football team. He enjoyed football, basketball, cars, fishing, pets, the outdoors, being with friends, working with his Dad, and spending time with his family. Zak was a giving son, supportive brother, and loyal friend. His sense of humor was contagious, and he was always willing to make someone laugh.
He is survived by his parents Jimmy (Jody) Johnson, Becky Johnson, sister Tarryn Johnson, brother Michael Johnson, grandparents Clarence and Norma Walstrom, all of Alamosa, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Zak was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles and Elaine Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Alamosa 4th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Weber Drive. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mile High Down Syndrome Association.
