William “Bill” Malouff, 76, of Monte Vista, passed away on Thursday February 11, 2016 in Alamosa.

Bill was born at his family home in Capulin, Colorado on January 15, 1940.

Bill was the third of seven children of Frank and Neoma Malouff. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Joe, youngest sister Jessie and grandchild Dominic. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Janet; brother Stephen and his wife Debbie; three sisters, Betty, Judy and Janet; five sons, Steven and his wife Holly, Billy Frank and his wife Becky, Eric, Bryan and his wife Brenda, and Nimon; sixteen grandchildren, Crystal, Diane, Lane, Alyssa, Shaneis, Nimon, Delia, Neff, Kaitlyn, Aleis, Sage, Kasey, Nick, Ashley, Grace, and Noah; and six great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jordan, Jeremiah, Jackson, Danny, and Lillyan.

Bill was an entrepreneur. He owned several businesses throughout his life. He and his brother Steve owned Malouffs’ Hi Valley Paving for several decades.

Bill enjoyed enjoying life. His sense of humor was rambunctious, light hearted and relentless. He had a flare for making everyone enjoy his presence. Up until the very end when his health was failing, he strived to enjoy his time. Bill was a talented running back in high school. As a teenager, his ornery nature made his father work hard to keep him on the straight and narrow. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, and was excellent at chess. Bill had an exceptional intellect. He instilled faith, work ethic, a disregard for bigotry, and a sense of honesty and fairness in his children. Bill was known as Pa Bill to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was loved very much by all, and he will be greatly missed.
