Obituary for William Paul Kuykendall

William Paul Kuykendall 79 of Del Norte passed away at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born on March 30, 1935 in Casper, Wyoming to Roy Aaron and Alice H. Kuykendall.
Bill served his country as a Navy Medic and was stationed with a Marine Recon Division. He was honorably discharged from the Military in 1960. He worked for the past few years as a Sales Associate for Monte Vista Coop and prior to that for Pro Build in South Fork. He also helped build a number of homes in South Fork. Bill was a master carpenter and loved to build things with wood. He especially enjoyed building furniture. Bill was a very spiritual person and was a one time a member of the Emissaries of Divine Light in Loveland. His hobbies included working with wood, building furniture, elk and deer hunting with his wife Karyl. He was an avid reader and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Karyl Jo Eggert Kuykendall, Children, Mark Kuykendall of Loveland, Colorado, Alyssa (Bob) Austin of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina and Donald Kuylendall of Phoenix, Arizona, his grandchildren, Elsey Ruth Kuykendall, Roe Aaron Kuykendall, Nicole Austin and Mike Austin, his beloved dogs, Ceba and Taschi as well as many extended family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald E. Kuykendall.
Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30th, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Monte Vista Methodist Church.
