Monte Vista resident Velma Darlene Casey, 66, passed away May 16, 2015.
Darlene Was Born February 17, 1949 in Alamosa, Colorado to George and Velma Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Eloise Hunter, Lavera Divine, Earl Brown, Merl Brown, and Karene Johnson.
She is survived by her siblings; Dee (Marianne) Brown of Alamosa, Venita Matthews of Amarillo, Texas, Rita (Jim) Aldridge of Monte Vista, and Kenneth Brown of Firestone, CO. Stepchildren; Elizabeth (Gary) Bailey of Sanford, CO., and Michael (Jennifer) Casey of Fort Collins, CO. Grandchildren; Ira Bailey and Victoria Bailey of Sanford, CO., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene was employed with the Department of Health, water quality division in Denver, Colorado before retiring and moving to Monte Vista in 2005. She enjoyed her time with family and friends, talking on the phone, day trips, and reality shows on TV.
