Vanessa Jessica Whitsett-Frazier, 29, Colorado Springs resident passed away on June 17, 2018. She was born on August 27, 1988 in Alamosa, Colorado to Jesse Medina and Ginger Mathes. She was later adopted and raised by Henry Whitsett. She married Kevin Frazier on October 30, 2015 in Colorado Springs. She enjoyed supporting the Steelers football team, music and singing, 4-wheeling, spending time with her dogs Tinkerbell and Precious and especially enjoyed spending time with her son Graesyn.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Frazier, her son Graesyn Frazier, both of Colorado Springs, her mother Ginger (Rodell) Shrout of Colorado Springs, her adopted father Henry Whitsett of Portland OR, biological father Jesse Medina of Alamosa, her siblings; Kimberly (Cody) Brazell of Huntsville AL, Ashleigh Whitsett of Mascoutah IL and Jessie Erica Medina of Colorado Springs; stepsiblings Roycee Shrout of Cloverdale IN, Nicole Shrout of Indianapolis IN, Candice Tippey of Safford AZ, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Vanessa was preceded in death by Grandmother Ruth Mathes, Grandfather Gerald Mathes and Great-grandmother Ollie Maddux.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday June 25, 2018 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to a memorial fund set up for her son Graesyn and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
