Obituary for Travis Earl Loman

Longtime Del Norte resident Travis Earl Loman, 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family May 9, 2014 at the Swedish Hospital in Englewood.
Travis’ life began on May 17, 1951 in Monte Vista, Colorado the first son to Eugene and Dorothy (Hodges) Loman. He married his wife of 34 years, Arlene Kay LePlatt on January 6, 1980 in Monte Vista, Colorado.
Travis spent most of his working career raising Barley and Alfalfa on his father’s farm near Del Norte.
Travis loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings and the family Christmas holidays spent together. In his younger years he liked to hunt and fish. Travis was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife Arlene Loman of Del Norte; his children Michael (Leah) Loman of Alamosa, Clayton (Kathy) Loman of Del Norte and Christopher (Amber) Crown of Center; his grandchildren Craig Crown, Austen and Rhys Velasquez, Crystal, Kayla, Kaleb Salazar, Brooke, Tyler and Addyson; his sister Loretta (Jim) McCloskey of Mosca, his uncle Ronald (Donna) Loman, his aunt Lena Mar Mcarthy as well as his cousins Danny and Sonny Hodges.
His paternal grandmother Le Etta Angel, his uncle Edgar Loman and his parents Eugene and Dorothy all preceded him in death.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery. Contributions in memory of his father Eugene Loman are suggested to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and may be made at www.pdf.org or through the funeral home office.
