Alamosa resident and former La Jara resident Timmy J. Cisneros, 54, passed away November 27, 2016 at this home in Alamosa.

Timmy was born on July 23, 1962 in Alamosa, the son of Tony Cisneros and Gloria Romero.

He worked for many years as a Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service as well as many different jobs throughout the years. Timmy was a very kind and giving person who was always helping others and was a loving father. In his earlier years, he enjoyed taking his son fishing, camping, and when he could he loved to gamble. He took pride in his appearance and was always dressed well.

Timmy is survived by his mother Gloria (Glenn) Brown of California; his son Nathan Cisneros of Alamosa; his granddaughter Monique Cisneros; his sister Judy Duran; his brother Dwain (Rosie) Duran; the mother of his son Dolores Sanchez; his aunts and uncles Donald (Burnadette) Romero, Dorothy Valdez, Wilma (Ross) Duran, Phillip Romero, Victor Romero, Solomon Lopez, Johnny Cisneros and Chris Cisneros; his cousins Anthony Lopez, Toby Lopez and Ronnie Lopez; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Inurnment of ashes will follow in the Ortiz Cemetery.
