Obituary for Thurmma Rena Brown

Longtime Mosca resident Thurmma Rena Brown, 79, died June 10, 2013 at her home in Mosca under hospice care.
Thurma was born April 20, 1934 in Blanca, Colorado to Omer H. and Bertha M. Sartain Eagle. She married Arthur E. Brown on September 1, 1951 in Alamosa.
Thurma was a homemaker and was active in the Mosca community. She was very committed to her children and grandchildren in all their many school and life activities.
Thurma is survived by her loving husband Art Brown of Mosca; her children Jerry Brown of Mosca, Marvin (Ginger) Brown of Hooper, Judy Jeffs of Mosca, Randy (MaryAnn) Brown of Alamosa, Wayne (Faye) Brown of Alamosa, Cristie (Mark) Taffin of Ashland, OH and Mick Brown of Mosca; her sisters Durmma Siebert, Sabrie Brown, Vinia Lou Brinegar and Eurma Lee Hart; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her parents, her baby brother Rocky, her grandson Brian Brown, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm. Sunday, June 16th at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 17th at the Sangre de Cristo School Gymnasium in Mosca followed by interment in the Rito Alto Cemetery. Contributions in her memory are suggested to Hospice del Valle and may be made through the funeral home office
