Obituary for Susan Marie Harris

Monte Vista resident Susan Marie Harris, 55, passed away January 3, 2014 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo.
Susan was born on November 14, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico the daughter to Tom and Maxine (Watts) Blunt. She married her husband of 18 ½ years, Charlie Harris on May 27, 1995.
Susan worked for many years as a Teacher and really enjoyed seeing the enjoyment of learning in the kid’s eyes. She liked art, jewelry, civil war reenactments, and in her spare time enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. Her greatest loves were spending time with her family and friends, teaching art and enjoying her favorite holidays of Halloween and Christmas.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Charlie Harris of Monte Vista; her children Tim Biggs and Jay (Charity) Biggs, all of Alamosa; her granddaughter Alexis Samora; her sister Lisa (Mark) Brown of Mosca; her aunts and uncles Carol Refior, Darlene Horton, Dixie Pierce and Bill Blunt; her nieces and nephews Stacey (Rick) Eskew, Heather (Jason) Tillman, Amber (Adam) Santos, Clay Brown, Lane Horton, Holly Harris and Corey Harris; her great-nieces and nephews Zaine Eskew, Rorie and Syrie Tillman, Kaelie Santos; her cousins Jeff Pierce and family, and Bill Pierce and family; other loving family members Glenn Biggs, Eunice Harris, Kay Risdahl, Katie and Christie Risdahl and Doug Harris.
Cremation was chosen and friends and family are welcome to gather for a Celebration of Life that will be held at Charlie’s mother’s residence on Henry Lane at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014.
