Monte Vista – Monte Vista resident Sharon Glenda Lujan, 60, passed away on March 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on September 20, 1955 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Gavino and Sarah Montoya. She married Ryan Patrick Lujan on June 12, 2010 in Monte Vista, CO. Sharon enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, watching the Denver Broncos, planting flowers in her garden and watching soap operas.

She is survived by her husband Ryan Lujan of Monte Vista, her children, Anthony (Danelle Gonzales) Dupont of Monte Vista and Joaquin (Lisa) Dupont of Alamosa, her grandchildren, Jesus Garcia, Santiago Martinez, Alejandra Dupont, Alycia Dupont, Anthony Dupont, Jr., Aubrey Dupont and Ayla Dupont as well as four great grandchildren as well as her siblings, Renee Cervantez of Monte Vista, Barbara Montoya of Monte Vista, Christine (Augustine) Pinon of Dodge City, Kansas, Francine (Sigifredo Rodriguez) Lozoya of Monte Vista, Blanca Lozoya of Monte Vista and Harry (Nichole) Lozoya of Greeley, Colorado as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Josette Arellano, her granddaughter Rebecca Garcia and her siblings, Elaine Chavez and Frankie Montoya.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday March 11, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Monte Vista. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday March 10, 2016 also at the church.
