Obituary for Rose Romero
Longtime Capulin resident Rose D. Romero, 77, passed away on August 17, 2014.
Rose was born on July 13, 1937 to Jose and Maria Romero in Capulin, Colorado. On December 19, 1951 she married Juan Jose Romero in Taos, New Mexico. She was a loving housewife. Rose enjoyed walks, crossword puzzles, embroidery, collecting rocks, listening to music and especially cherished the time spent with her son Eloy and the rest of her family and pets.
She is survived by her children; Johnny (Ruth) Romero of Pagosa Springs, Lillian Sisneros of Colorado Springs, Eloisa (Mark Jaramillo) Herrera of Northglenn, Eloy Romero of Capulin, Gilbert Romero and (son G.R.) of Westminster, Tony (Valerie) Romero of Pagosa Springs, Darlene (Jim) Romero of Pueblo and Marcy (Jessica) Romero of Alamosa along with numerous grandchildren, siblings and extended family and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Juan Romero and her sons Eloy and Floyd Romero.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 23, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. A recitation of the Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 22, 2014 also at the church. Internment will follow the services in the La Jara Cemetery.
