Obituary for Ronald Lalin Hughes Jr.

Ronald Lalin Hughes Jr.
Sanford – Longtime Sanford, Colorado resident Ronald Lalin Hughes Jr., 52, passed away on July 25, 2016. Ron was born on December 30, 1963 in Urbana- Champaign, Illinois to Ronald Lalin Sr. and Violet Belle Hughes. He married the love of his life SynDee Kreps on August 28, 1989 in Sanford, Colorado.
Ron was a mainstay in the small town of Sanford. It didn’t matter what sport was being played, you could always see Ron in the crowd supporting the Sanford Indians. He was one of their biggest fans in more ways than one and will be noticeably missed in their upcoming seasons. Ron was a proud supporter of his country. Being a 3rd generation serviceman, he showed his friends and family what it means to love their country. He was a proud Army Veteran that served two tours in Korea and then served as Military Police at White Sands. After his career in the military, Ron began trucking and did so for most of his life. He loved traveling and being on the open road. While trucking he was blessed to have multiple bosses he called friends if not close enough to be considered family to him. He will be missed as a devoted and loving husband of 29 years, a supportive and caring father, and an uncle and friend to more family than those just related by blood. Ron truly loved his family.

Ron is survived by his loving wife SynDee Hughes of the family home in Sanford, Colorado. His Daughter, Amber Louise Hughes and grandson Rowan Xander Spriggs of Green Bay, Wisconsin. His sons; Richard Thomas (Afton) Hughes of Brighton, Colorado, and Kennith Wade (Yarixa) Hughes of Denver, Colorado. His parents, Ronald Lalin Sr. and Violet Belle Hughes of Tucson, Arizona. His siblings; Scott Allen (Karen) Hughes of Henderson, Colorado, Adam Wade (Barbara) Hughes of Northglenn, Colorado, and Amy Sue (Eddie) Patterson of La Salle, Colorado, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Lilith Keplar, his Grandparents, Thomas and Beverly Herriott, as well as two uncles and one aunt.

There will be a viewing on Friday July 29, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sanford, Colorado with the funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00 A.M.
