Obituary for Roger Maclovio Salazar Jr.

Monte Vista resident Roger Maclovio Salazar, Jr. 63, died June 27, 2014 at his home in Monte Vista surrounded by his loving family and under hospice care.
Roger’s life began in Jaroso, Colorado on June 20, 1951. He was born to Jose Maclovio and Delfiria Archuleta Salazar. He married his wife Antonita “Toni” Marie Chavez on October 18, 1969 in Denver, Colorado.
Roger worked as a Bookkeeper for the Town of Del Norte for many years as well as a Custodian for the Denver Public Schools. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, family outings and taking walks. He loved the lord was always sharing the gospel.
He is survived by his wife Toni Salazar of Monte Vista; his children Roger Salazar of Monte Vista, Reynaldo (Mara) Salazar of Thornton, CO, Raul (Christine) Salazar of Denver, CO, LaTricia Jimenez of Lakewood, CO, Jeanette (Nathan) Gomez of Denver, CO; 17 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; as well as four sisters, six brothers, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Sons and Daughters Ministry, located at 7th and Madison Streets in Monte Vista.
