Obituary for Richard Allen Cutter

Richard Allen Cutter, 69, resident of Monte Vista and formerly of Durango, CO, passed away in a tragic accident on Saturday June 8th 2013 in the mountains of Colorado doing what he loved, flying.
Richard was born on January 20, 1944 in Flushing, New York, the son of James and Kathryn Kenady Cutter.
Prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force, Richard was a commercial pilot out of Tennessee. He served for more than eighteen years in the Air Force and Reserves as a Pilot Instructor and was stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tucson, Arizona. Richard enjoyed electronics, photography, history and especially restoring Corvair cars. He was a member of the Corvair Club and the Commemorative Air Force. In his younger years he enjoyed the outdoors fishing and camping with his family. Above all, his pride and joy were his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his brother Roger, his 3 sons Mike, Matt and Mark, their immediate family Brenda, Wendy, Nancy, Kara, and his 3 grandchildren Jessica, Kevin, Reece and 1 granddaughter to be. Please join his family for a celebration of his life to be held at the Rio Grande Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow services in the Homelake Veterans Cemetery.
