Obituary for Randolph George Thatcher

Randolph George Thatcher died at age 58 in Alamosa, Colorado on June 23, 2015.
He is survived by his son Jimmy Joseph Guinard and wife of South Lyon, MI; two grandchildren; his mother Grayce A. Thatcher of Big Timber, Montana; his brother Timothy N. Thatcher and wife Ha of Junction City, Kansas; two sisters Terri R. Rostad and husband George of Big Timber, Montana and Trudy A. Deon of Coeur d’ Alene, ID.
Randy joined his father Ross Thatcher, two sisters Lydia Ann Thatcher and Lillian Ann Thatcher in death.
Randy lived in Coeur d’Alene, ID for a time and had recently moved to Pueblo, Colorado for medical reasons. He had been living with his sister Trudy Deon in Idaho and was helping repair her home. Randy was a jack-of-all trades which included painter, carpenter, cabinet and furniture maker, landscaper and leather worker. He made many different moccasins and other indian and western designs out of leather.
He was a member of the Troy VFW Club in Troy, Montana and Eagles Club in Post Falls, Idaho/Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Randy enjoyed working with his hands and helping people in need. He also enjoyed gardening and going fishing and hiking anytime he could get someone to go with him. He said he was closer to God when he was in the mountains of Colorado, Montana, Idaho and Washington.
Randy’s graveside Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 3rd, 2015 at the Laurel Cemetery in Laurel, Montana. This obituary was written by his sister Trudy in Loving Memory of her brother Randy.
