Obituary for Peggy Ann Martin

La Jara – Longtime valley resident Peggy Ann Martin, 84, passed away on March 19, 2014 at the Rio Grande Inn in La Jara. She was born on November 14, 1929 in Manassa, Colorado to Martha Logue. Peggy married Lewis (Bud) Martin on August 23, 1946 in Taos, New Mexico. They were sealed for time and eternity on November 11, 1964 in Mesa, Arizona. Peggy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her children; Paula Broyles of Orem, Utah, Norris Martin of Manassa, Kathy Knight of Manassa and Dannie Martin of Dwight, Kansas, 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter, her siblings as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, her husband Lewis (Bud) Martin, daughter, Loretta Hoover, great granddaughter Abigail Anderson and her sister Liz Richardson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 22, at the Manassa Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.on Saturday prior to the service in the Primary Room at the church. Burial will follow in the Manassa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Missionary Fund.
