Obituary for Michael Lee Mott

Alamosa and Phoenix, Arizona resident Michael Lee Mott, 59, died March 15, 2014 at his home in Mosca.
Michael was the eldest of five children. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Kenneth Mott and Beverly Pyles. He was raised by his uncle B. John “BJ” Taylor and their family.
Michael served four years in the United States Army during Vietnam and following his honorable discharge served another two years in the Army Reserves. In his younger years he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Michael enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting, fishing and camping. He also liked listening to rock and roll music and had an affinity for Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
He is survived by his mother Beverly Bruce of Fresno, California; his children Patricia Mott, Michael Mott II, Billy Mott and Vernon Mott, all of Alamosa; the mother of his children Becky Mott of Alamosa; his grandchildren Robin Belyeu, Annastasia Mott, Isaiah Perez, Lacey Mott, Sandra Mott, Lily Mott, Billy Mott, Jr., Lola Mott and Simon Salazar; his sister and brother Robin (Rob Spears) Lewis of Phoenix, AZ and Mark (Patricia) Bruce of Fresno, CA; his sister-in-law Joyce (Demino) Taylor; his aunt Bessie Baker of Coolidge, Arizona; eight nieces, seven nephews; as well as his cousin whom he considered his brother Rusty McDowell of Coolidge, AZ.
His father, his infant daughter Emma Mott, his brother Jimmy Taylor, his sister Sandra “Sandy” Wickens and his father B. John “BJ” Taylor all preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and private family services will be held at a later date.
