Obituary for Megan Michelle Holbert

Megan Michelle Holbert (Goddard), 26, (1/3/89 -3/4/15), died at home Wednesday morning due to complications of prolonged illness.
She was born in Southfield, Michigan, but lived for almost 18 years of her life with her aunt and uncle, Virginia and Richard Goddard of Alamosa. She graduated from Rocky Mountain Youth Academy and had attended some classes at Adams State University. Megan loved animals, especially her pets.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Debra and Steve Bane, her sister Amanda Davis, and her nephew and niece Trevor and Kaylee Davis, all in Michigan. In Alamosa, she is survived by her aunt and uncle Virginia and Dick Goddard, her cousin Tim Goddard and Tim’s wife Christie and their son Grey.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Rogers Family Mortuary with public visitation/viewing at 5 p.m. to 7p.m. on Monday, March 9th. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
