Obituary for Mary Helen Larsen

Just 11 days before her 97th birthday, Mary Helen Larsen passed away on October 31, 2013 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Tooele, Utah. Her four daughters had been at her side around the clock for the past few days. She was born on November 11, 1916 at Mesita, Colorado.
She survived her parents Ira and Bertha Luster of Mesita, Colorado and her seven siblings, Zelda Buhr, Emma Williams, Reetha Cronk, Albert Luster (his wife June, living), Elsa Ford, Viola Ford and Marvin Luster all deceased.
Mary married Carl Larsen December 16, 1935 at Sanford, Colorado. Their entire family was sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on April 2, 1954. Mary lived in Sterling, Colorado until Carl passed away from a heart attack, age 59, in 1974. Mary then moved to Burlington, Colorado to be close to some of her children and lived there for 27 years. In 2001she moved to Tooele, Utah where she resided at an assisted living facility and finished her life at Rocky Mountain Care Center.
She is survived by her four daughters: Patricia Jean Billington (Harvey), and Carolyn Jane Schofield (Phil) of Tooele, Utah, Betty Ann Blackhurst ( Tom deceased) of Pueblo, Colorado and Mary Kaye Johnson (Fred deceased) of Sandy, Utah. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with viewing from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the Middle Canyon Ward in Tooele, Utah. Graveside services will be held in the Alamosa Cemetery in Alamosa, Colorado next to her departed husband on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
