Obituary for Martha Felicita Rolling Medina
Alamosa – Longtime Alamosa resident Martha Felicita Rolling Medina, 77, passed away on September 30, 2014. She was born on April 24, 1937 in Alamosa, Colorado to Nick and Mary Sanchez Rolling.
Martha is survived by her children; Susan Kay (Galen) Hof in Alamosa, Carl Leland (Roberta) Medina, North Richland Hills, Texas and Matthew James Medina in Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Arah Hof and Samuel Hof of Alamosa, Rachael Medina of Canyon, Texas and Rebekah Medina of North Richland Hills, Texas and her sisters Lorraine Rolling of Littleton, Colorado and Dorothy Rolling, Overpark, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carlos Martin Medina, and her siblings Raymond Rolling and Mary Ann Haverland.
Martha was an avid china painter, enjoyed sewing and other crafts. She liked bird watching and spending time out of doors. She also liked to spend time with her family.
Cremation was selected and a memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 10th, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9th, 2014. Donations may be made in Martha’s name to the Alamosa Food Bank.
