Obituary for Marjorie Hagedorn

Marjorie Martha Young Hagedorn passed away on July 5, 2013 in Alamosa, Colorado. She was born on April 26, 1926 to Phillip Schaefer and Elsie Weyhrich Schaefer in Monte Vista, Colorado.
Marjorie worked for Rural Electric Coop of Monte Vista for 25 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Peters Lutheran Church where she enjoyed serving through out the years. Marjorie enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle with her many friends. She loved people and helping others any way she could. She spent 4 years at the Bridge in Alamosa and the last year and a half at Juniper Village of Monte Vista. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her four children; David (Ann) Young, Jerry (Kathy) Young, Susan (Gary) LaCorte and Mike (Carla) Young along with 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Gerald James Young and Paul Hagedorn and her daughter Cindy Young.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 12, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Monte Vista cemetery following the services. Contributions are suggested to the St. Peters Lutheran School and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation to everyone who loved and cared for her.
