Obituary for Maria Christina "Chris" Spurr

Alamosa resident Maria Christella “Chris” Spurr, 60, died October 20, 2013 at her home in Alamosa under Hospice care.
Chris was born January 7, 1953 in Alamosa, Colorado the daughter to Lee G. Sanchez, Sr. and Teresita Marquez Sanchez.
Chris worked until her retirement with AT&T Telecommunications in Colorado Springs as an Operator.
She was a very loving daughter, mother and grandmother and was a very kind and giving person. Chris enjoyed all kinds of crafts and especially loved cooking.
She is survived by her mother Teresita Sanchez of Alamosa; her daughters Theresa (Joseph) Stephens of Colorado Springs and Maggie Spurr of Alamosa; her brother Robert Sanchez of Colorado Springs; her grandchildren Gabriel and Joshua Stephens of Colorado Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her father Lee G. Sanchez, Sr. and her brothers Lee G. Sanchez, Jr., Joe G. Sanchez and Angelo Sanchez all preceded her in death.
Cremation was chosen and a service will be held at a later date. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice del Valle at 514 Main Street in Alamosa, CO 81101.
