August 14, 2018 was the day Louise Tolsma left this earth and was taken home to her Heavenly Father. Her body succumbed to cancer. She had been in the care of her son and daughter-in-law with the fine assistance from Hospice.

She has been preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bud, her parents, her son Duane and her granddaughter Christine.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Rod (Jane), Kathy (Nathan), Ella (Russell), Joel and Ed (Melanie), her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as her siblings: Marilyn Witt (Laurens), Florence Heersink, (Adolf) and Bill Heersink (Claire).

Louise was born to William and Terena Heersink, August 6, 1932. Her birth occurred in the same room in which she slept for the last 60 years.

As a faithful member of the Christian Reformed church she served as an organist and led Bible Studies. During his stay at the Care Center, Louise visited Bud most every day and often played piano for the residents there.
