Longtime Alamosa resident Lorraine B. Gallegos, 71, died July 27, 2018 at her home in Alamosa.

Lorraine was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on November 16, 1946, the eldest daughter of Flavio Romero and Olivia Montoya Romero. She married Elias “Lee” Gallegos in San Jose, California on August 10, 1968.

Lorraine was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved cooking and baking and was an exceptional host to many. In her spare time she enjoyed fine jewelry making. She loved the bible and helping others through spiritual care and devoted her whole life in service to her God Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had a positive optimism that was passed down through her family and was full of love.

She is survived by her husband Lee Gallegos of Alamosa; her children: Corrina L. (Phillip) Fisher of Pueblo, Jessica M. (John) Atencio-Schoch of Colorado Springs, Benjamin A. (Carlina) Gallegos of Monument, CO and Nathan A. Gallegos of Alamosa; her grandchildren: Ashley Atencio, Andrew Gallegos, Matthew Fisher, Jacob Clark, Olivia Fisher and Aspen Gallegos; her siblings: Eddie Romero of San Jose, CA, Nancy Iruegas of Morgan Hill, CA, Julie (Philip) Rodriguez of Delano, CA, Esther Equivel of Juarez, Mexico and Vickie (Troy) Morgan of Pueblo, CO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and a host of friends.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents Flavio and Olivia and her brother Gabriel Romero.

Cremation was chosen and a private Memorial Service will be at a later date.
