Obituary for Letha Maxine Crouch (Armstron)

Alamosa resident and former Denver resident Letha Maxine Crouch, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa.

Letha was born July 8th, 1919 in Blue Hill, Nebraska the daughter of James Armstrong and Mary Popp Armstrong. Letha married John Kenneth Crouch on August 29th, 1943 in San Diego, CA.

Letha attended schools in Alamosa. She worked for many years at Mountain Bell as a Switchboard Operator and retired in the 1990's. She was an active member the Red Hat Ladies in Denver.

In her spare time, Letha enjoyed playing golf and gambling.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Silver of Alamosa and Susan Maestas of Fort Lupton, Colorado; her grandchildren Rhonda Silver of Denver, Rod (Kristi) Silver of Rockwall, TX, Kara Silver of Rockwall, TX, Jeremy Maestas of Fort Lupton, CO and Christine (Marcus) Martinez of Commerce City, CO; as well as nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family, .

Letha is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 1973, her brothers and sisters: Wayne Armstrong, Borden Armstrong, Wilhamein Hockaday, twin sister Leva Clark; her prior son-in-law Anthony Maestas, her son-in-law Slick Silver; her great-grandchildren Gavin Silver and Christopher Maestas.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Graveside of Ashes will be held at a later time.
