Lawrence “Jimmy” Lopez, 81, formally of Alamosa passed away on Sunday September 9th, 2018 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where he currently lived. Jimmy had a great love for family, always guided and protected them. He loved everyone unconditionally. Jimmy was married to his wife of 58 years Joan Lopez. He retired from the City of Alamosa. His hobbies were horseback riding, team roping and horse trading.

He is survived by his wife Joan Lopez of Jacksonville North Carolina, Son Jimmy Lopez Jr. of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Daughters Teresa Lopez of Ft.Garland, Debbie Lopez of Alamosa
And Shirley Lopez Felix(Calvin) of Jacksonville North Carolina, 9 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren, 2 sisters Betty Meastas of Alamosa, Pat Meastas (Gregg ) of Alamosa

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Manual and Lucy Lopez and his brother Tommy Lopez.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday September 17th at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. This cowboy will be placed to rest in the Alamosa Cemetery on Tuesday September 18th during a graveside service that will begin at 11:00 am.
