Obituary for Kenneth Ray Felmlee

Longtime Mosca resident Kenneth Ray Felmlee, 72, died November 12, 2013 at the San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.
Ken was born in Del Norte, Colorado on April 23, 1941 to Raymond B. and Esther Irene Bowers Felmlee. He married Verna F. Crown on August 28, 1989 in Center, Colorado.
Ken worked for 20 years until his retirement for Adams State College in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Mosca United Methodist Church and the Alamosa Senior Citizens.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. In his later years he took up reading and read numerous articles and books.
Ken is survived by his wife Verna Felmlee of Mosca; his children Kenneth (Karen) Felmlee, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, Scot (Donalu) Felmlee of Alamosa, Jeff (Jeanie) Felmlee of Lawrence, KS and Jim (Leanna) Felmlee of Westminster, CO; his step children Nathan Phillips of Phoenix, AZ, Wende Phillips of Sacramento, CA, and Ben Nicholson of Alamosa; his brother Dennis L. (Holly) Felmlee of Alamosa; his sister Doris J. Blain of Denver; his grandchildren: Jamie, Terrin, Kenton, Chase, Brandon, Caleb, Constance, Kendra, and Ella Felmlee, Jordan, Jasper and Jericho Nicholson; his great-grandson Dante Felmlee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
His parents and his daughter Vicki Felmlee preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Mosca United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Mosca/Hooper Fire Department in his memory.
