Obituary for Kendrick Dwayne Marquez

Monte Vista – Monte Vista resident Kendrick Dwayne Marquez, 25, passed away on February 16, 2015. He was born on September 22, 1989 to Kenneth and Charlene Marquez in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Kendrick cherished spending time with his kids. He took every opportunity he could to play around with them and he loved them so much. He enjoyed hanging out with his family, listening to music, dancing around being silly. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, playing video games, watching movies and eating out.
He is survived by his children, Diamond Marquez and Davion Marquez both of Monte Vista, his mother Charlene Marquez, his step father Armando Chacon of Monte Vista, his brothers, Christopher (Jasmine) Marquez of Del Norte, Erminio (Brittany) Marquez of Monte Vista, as well as his half brother Rumaldo (Phalesha) Marquez of Monte Vista and Andrea Marquez of Monte Vista, two nieces, five nephews and many extended family members.
Kendrick was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents Leonard and Lela Marquez, his maternal grandparents David and Dorothy Bitsuie as well as his uncle Melvin Bitsuie and his nephew Aiden Marquez.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday February 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Vigil service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday February 20, 2015 also at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista.
