Obituary for John Earl Gardner Jr.

We are sure it was upon a PURPLE motorcycle--Johnnie (Oink) Gardner, the world’s best husband, father, and grandfather, but most of all, the world’s absolute best friend to so many, left his beloved San Luis Valley. Born 4/1/1949 in Monte Vista, Colorado to John and Maudie (Lockett) Gardner, he passed away at home outside Alamosa, Colorado on 11/8/2012. He is survived by wife, Aileen; son John Gardner (Lisa); grandsons John and Wyatt Gardner; and a multitude of friends, including mother-in-law, Virginia Murr. Memorial Services will be held at Sangre de Cristo School outside (8751 Lane 7 North) Mosca, Colorado on Saturday, 11/17/2012 at 10 am. Plan to share a favorite memory if you wish. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to the education fund set up in his name at San Luis Valley Federal Bank to benefit his grandsons. Or buy shotgun shells and think of him……
