Obituary for James Brooks Dawson

ALAMOSA—Alamosa resident James Brooks Dawson, 29, died December 21, 2012 at his home in Alamosa.
Brooks was born December 29, 1982 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the son to James P. and Rebecca A. King Dawson.
Brooks graduated from the Mountain Valley High School in Springer, New Mexico. He had a talent for writing poetry, was an artist and displayed many of his talents through fine woodwork. Brooks had a kind heart and was very personable. He never met a stranger. Brooks enjoyed swimming and spending time with his father fishing.
He is survived by his parents James and Rebecca Dawson of Alamosa; his sisters Kathrin (Spencer) Folau of Michigan, Amy (Corey) Crowther of Sanford and Shana Malouff of Aztec, N.M.; as well as eleven nieces and nephews that he adored and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
His grandparents Harry and Frances Dawson and Horace and LaVern King preceded him in death.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27th followed by Friday, December 28th from 10:00-10:45 a.m. both in the Relief Society Room at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Located at 927 Weber Street in Alamosa. A Funeral Service will follow the visitations 11:00 a.m. Friday morning also at the church. Interment will follow services in the Manassa Cemetery. Contributions in his memory are suggested to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund and may be made either at the church or through the funeral home office.
