Obituary for Jack Emerson Garland

Manassa resident Jack Emerson Garland, 91, died July 10, 2013 at the Conejos County Hospital in La Jara.
Jack was born March 27, 1922 in Antonito, Colorado the son to Elisha and Rosa Wissmath Garland. He married Mary Ardeen Brady on December 31, 1940 in Taos, New Mexico.
Jack worked for most of his life as a Farmer and Rancher raising potatoes and cattle.
He is survived by his wife Ardeen Garland of Manassa; his children Karla Kellogg of Mountain Home, Idaho, Janice (Les) Burrow of Mesa, AZ, Jackie (Gary) Fraughton of Layton, Utah, Carolyn Daniels of Manassa and Ed (Debbie) Garland of Gilbert, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Ricky Garland, and sisters Ruth Holman, Stella Haynie, Margaret Rogers, and his son-in-law Carlton (Kelly) Kellogg.
A Visitation will be held from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary of Manassa. Cremation will follow services with interment of ashes taking place 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15th at the Manassa Cemetery.
