Obituary for Henry Joe Martinez
Alamosa resident Henry Joe Martinez, 67, passed away April 1, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was the son of Benino and Lugarita Martinez born March 16, 1946 in Monte Vista, Colorado.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren Christopher, Carlos, Jonathan, and Alicia. He enjoyed fishing and watching football games. His favorite football team was the Denver Broncos.
Henry is survived by his children Jonathon H. Martinez and Esperanza Rose Martinez, both of Alamosa; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alycia, Carlos and Jonathan; his brother Joe Martinez of Ogden, Utah; and his sister Jean (Joe) Baca of Ogden, Utah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.
His parents, his sister Viola Valdez and his brother Ben Martinez preceded him in death.
Henry will be missed dearly by everyone.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.
