George Major Oringdulph Jr, 78 of Blanca Colorado passed away Sunday December 9th, 2018 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo Colorado surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11 AM at the LDS chapel at 927 Weber Dr., Alamosa, CO. Friends and loved ones are invited to a viewing at the same location beginning at 9:30 AM on December 15th.

Major is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Elizabeth Sharon Oringdulph, And three sons Eric Oringdulph of Louisville Kentucky, George Oringdulph III of Alamosa Colorado and Jonathan Oringdulph of Winchester Virginia. Major is also survived by his brother Robert and his sister Gloria both of whom he loved very dearly.

Major was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was dear friend to all he met. He loved life and he loved people. Major’s Life was dedicated to service. He and Sharon served three separate two year missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Detroit Michigan, Richmond Virginia and Houston Texas.

Major worked with his father George Sr. and his brother Robert at the Colorado Aggregate Company until the early 1980’s. Major also owned and operated the Blanca RV park until the Late 1990s when he retired.

Major will be greatly missed, but his memory will carry-on In the hearts of all who knew him.

A Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alamosa Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday December 15, 2018 also at the church. Interment will be held at the Mesita Cemetery in Mesita, Colorado.
