Obituary for Felicita Julia Bodley (Naranjo)

Felicita Julia Bodley (Naranjo)
Felicita Julia Bodley “Julia”, 83, passed away peacefully at the San Luis Care Center in Alamosa on October 26, 2016. Felicita was born on April 15, 1933 in Alamosa, Colorado to Felipe and Encarnacion Naranjo.

Julia had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. She was a seamstress by trade and she altered clothing for some famous personalities in her younger years. Julia hated sitting still when there was so many wonderful things to do all times of the year. During the summers, she would take her kids to the beach and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. But winter didn’t slow her down, she would travel to Mammoth, Big Bear, and other places to go skiing or to the ice skating rink to ice skate with her kids.

Julia will always be remembered for how humble she was and for putting everyone before herself. Whether it be one of the kids that called her mom, her actual children, or just someone she barely met she would be willing to give them the shirt off her own back. She truly loved every member of her family and left a lasting impression in all their lives and will be missed by each and every one of them.

Julia is survived by her children; Roxie (Ronnie) Cortz of Menitee, California, Renae (Mike Feldt) Bodley of Cresswell, Oregon, and Randi Espinoza of Romeo, Colorado. Her grandchildren; two from her son Ray, two from Roxie, six from Renae, and four from Randi. Her forty one great grandchildren. Two great great grandchildren. Her siblings; Carla Amador, Patricia Vasquez, Phil Naranjo, Irene Hererra, and Linda Tegelman. As well as numerous other Nieces, Nephews, Family members, and people that considered Julia their mom growing up.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Encarnacion Naranjo. Her former husband, Delbert Lee Bodley. Her son, Ray Bodley. Her siblings Samuel (Sonny) Naranjo, Hank Naranjo, Victoria Zamora, Alfonso (Fonsie) Naranjo, and Enrique Naranjo. Her Grandchild, Olivia Sugar Martinez.
