Obituary for Ernest Geno Romero

Alamosa – Alamosa resident Ernest Geno Romero, 53, passed away on June 20, 2015. He was born April 12, 1962 to Virginia Velasquez and Ernest Romero Sr. Later in life he married Maxine Duran whom he spent the rest of his life with.
Ernest always lived his life to the fullest and truly loved every minute of it. He loved everything from camping to just washing and taking care of his car. And he always loved surrounding himself with friends and family and enjoying a great meal. Ernest’s true passion was art. He loved doing tattoos and was very talented at his craft and much of his art will live on for many years.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Romero. His mother Virginia Sisneros and his father that raised him, Viadal Sisneros. His children; Elisa Garcia of Center, Colorado, Jozette Garcia of Center, Colorado and McKennzie Lujan of Pueblo, Colorado. His brothers; Dennis (Florence) Sisneros of Pueblo, Colorado, and Joe (Tina) Sisneros of Monte Vista, Colorado. His Grandchildren; Kevin Garcia-Lopez, Emilya Garcia-Lopez, David Garcia-Lopez, and Anna Garcia-Lopez. His Neices; Gina (Samuel) Bousqut of California, Sonya Sisneros of Pueblo, Natasha Sisneros of Pueblo, And Myra (Manuel) Duran of Pueblo. His nephews; Carlos Archuleta of Monte Vista, Colorado, and Daniel Sisneros of Pueblo. His Great nieces and nephews; Christian Bousqut, Jaaziah Salinas, Tianna Duran, Davion Duran, Trent Duran, Serina Duran, and Daren Duran.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Chavez. His nephew, James Dean Sisneros, and his father in law, Max Duran.
Cremation was chosen and A Recitation of the Rosary will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. A grave side service will be held at the San Antonio Cemetery on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
