Obituary for Epifanio L. Suazo

Denver – Longtime Alamosa resident Epifanio “Eppie” L. Suazo, 76, passed away at San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center in Alamosa on April 20, 2014.

He was born on January 16, 1938 in Manassa, Colorado to Oligario and Linda “Marcelina” Suazo. Epifanio was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Alamosa. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking with his wife Isabel and spending time with his family. He was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan.

Epifanio is survived by his mother, Linda Flores, his children; Manuel Suazo, Jamie Suazo, Linda Diment all from Pueblo, Ross Lovato of Alamosa, John Lovato of Alamosa, Andreita (Jay Farr) Lovato of Denver and Yolanda Martinez of the family home, as well as his grandchildren; Jessica Martinez of the family home, Olivia and Jose Martinez, Adrianna and Vicente Burrola all of Denver, his great grandchildren; Iesha, Thomas, Leticia, Fabian and Anthony all of the family home, Alicia, Bryanna and Daysia, Isaiah, Romeo and Anaya all of Denver, his siblings; Linda Salazar, Rose Escalaka, Mike Flores, Eddie Suazo, Alfonso Suazo, Flora Trujillo, Rachel Trujillo, Jerry Suazo, Gloria Woodman and Ambrose Orskovich, his goddaughter Lisa Torres, special family friend Johnny Espinoza as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, his wife Isabel Suazo and his grandparents.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday April 25, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 also at the church. Interment will be held at a later date.
