David Stotler Emerick
August 13, 1940 – February 8, 2013
David Stotler Emerick was born on August 13, 1940 in Vincennes, Indiana to Jesse and Hazel (Stotler) Emerick and departed this life on February 8, 2013.
David moved to Elkhart, Indiana where he met Mary, his wife of 49 years. To this union was born Dale Allen Emerick who preceded David in death. Also to this union was born Joseph Monroe Emerick of Blanca, Colorado, he survives. In addition to his wife Mary of the home, David is survived by his sister Jacqueline (Stotler) Joseph of Elkhart, Indiana.
David’s work included draftsmanship, machining, electrician and equipment technology. David was employed by IBM in Longmont, Colorado for 15 years. He retired from Storage Tech in Longmont, Colorado in 2000.
A few of David’s interests and hobbies included repairing cameras, building model trains and cities, Irish dancing, gardening, baking and he especially enjoyed country music.
A Celebration of David’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on February 23, 2013 at United for Christ Community Church in Blanca, Colorado with Pastor Jeff Maskevich officiating.
