Obituary for Daniel Eugene Morgan

Daniel Eugene Morgan, 62, died May 18, 2013 at his home in Alamosa.
Dan was born in Kingsport, Tennessee to Mack Eugene and Margaret Leona (Willis) Morgan. He married May Sue Jones in International Falls, Minnesota on December 9, 1978.
Dan was a Musician and could play anything with strings and keys. His favorite instruments were the Hammond B3 Organ, the 58 Gibson Les Paul and the fiddle. Dan traveled and played music in 37 states. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains hunting, fishing and camping. But above all, he loved his wife and children, baseball and coaching his kids. Their championship winning team was known as the “Bad News Bears”.
He is survived by his wife Mary Sue Morgan of Alamosa; his children Jessica Rae Morgan of Alamosa, Michael Daniel Eugene Morgan of Colorado Springs, Anne Marie Morgan of Alamosa, Patrick Thomas Anthony Morgan of Boulder and Daniel Nicholas James Morgan of Alamosa; his grandchildren Noah, Addalanta, Connor, Liam, Jordyn, Conlin, Peyton, Victor, Julian and soon to be born Jaxson. He is also survived by his sister Sue R. (Joseph) Reisenauer of Jasksonville Beach, Florida; his nephew and niece Joseph, Jr. and Amber; and his in-laws Paul (Marilyn) Jones, Kathleen Hill and Thomas (Brenda) Jones.
His parents, grandson Gage Daniel Morgan and his brother-in-law Todd Hill preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Contributions in Dan’s memory are suggested to the City of Alamosa Parks and Recreation and may be made through the funeral home office.
