Claude Buddy DeHerrera, 74, passed away August 22, 2018 in Alamosa Colorado surrounded by his loving family.

Claude was born In Center, Colorado on January 1, 1944 the only son to Max John DeHerrera and Ercelia Trujillo DeHerrera. He married Maria Delores Segura on July 25, 1970 in Center, Colorado.

Claude loved animals and especially loved his pug Rosie, he also liked classic cars, and vividly enjoyed his military career in the Air Force where he was stationed In South East Asia and served a total of 4 years active and 13 years in the Naval reserves where he traveled and helped with duties that involved improving buildings and grounds, he played a big part in repairing anything that needed improvement. Claude enjoyed telling his family about the different places he traveled in the military such as Kuwait and various places around South East Asia. He loved to tell stories about the different cultures and the different ways people lived in parts of the world.

He survived by his wife Maria Delores DeHerrera, his children Terrina (Dean) Vigil and John Max DeHerrera, his sisters Sandy (Lane) Burdick, Pat (Michael) Lott, and Ann Anglada, his grandchildren Kristy (Brian) Biaesch and Dylan Vigil as well as numerous extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Max John DeHerrera and Ercelia DeHerrera and his sister Lesie Marquez.

Family has chosen cremation, and a Recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista Monday, August 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00 am with inurnment following at the Homelake Cemetery.
