Obituary for Cherie Laneigh Valenzuela

Monte Vista – Monte Vista resident Cherie Laneigh Valenzuela, 21, passed away on December 14, 2013 in Monte Vista, Colorado.
She was born on May 29, 1992 to Charles Trujillo and Connie Valenzuela in Denver, Colorado. She grew up in Monte Vista and worked at the Monte Vista Dairy Queen. She enjoyed music, photography and spending time with her children and family.
Cherie is survived by her children LaNay Torres and CharLee Torres, mother, Connie Valenzuela, sisters, Crystal Valenzuela and Melanie Valenzuela (Jeremiah Martinez), her grandmother Connie Archuleta, her aunts and uncles; Andrew (Dora Lee) Valenzuela, Rosemarie Camargo, Val (Dianna) Valenzuela, Frank (Trish) Archuleta, Elena (Vince) Benevidez and the father of her children, Alfredo Torres.
She was preceded in death by her father, her grandfather, Frank Archuleta, her grandmother, Mercy Duran and her uncle Albert Camargo.
Cremation was selected and a Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday December 19, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday December 20, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Contributions are suggested to the family and may be made through the funeral home office to assist with the funeral expenses.
