Obituary for Callie Mortensen

Manassa – Manassa resident Callie Mortensen, 88, passed away on June 19, 2014.
She was born on November 26, 1925 in Sanford, Colorado to Dewitt Clinton Hutchins and Edith Emily Cornum Hutchins. She married Herbert Fred Mortensen in the Salt Lake Temple on March7, 1944. Callie was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Callie is survived by her children; Bonna Rae Mortensen of Gilbert, Arizona, Callie Ann (Bruce) Jarvies of Manassa, Cindy (Gayland) Smith of Manassa, Shela (Valden) McGinnis of Manassa, Pamelyn (Glade) Crowther of Omaha, Nebraska, Brad Wilson (Leslie) Mortensen of Alamosa, Shawn Tyler (Paula) Mortensen of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Terri Diane Mortensen of Logan, Utah as well as 56 grandchildren, 133 great grandchildren and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Mortensen, her children; Mitchell Fred Mortensen, Paul Kerry Mortensen and Shannon Emily Mortensen.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday June 28, 2014 at the Manassa Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be held from 1:00 TO 1:45 P.M. prior to the service in the primary room at the church. Burial will follow services in the Sanford Cemetery.
