Obituary for Betty L. Deacon

Longtime Monte Vista resident Betty L. Deacon, 90, died January 1, 2013 at the Colorado State Veterans Center at Homelake.
Betty was born in Strong City, Oklahoma one of four children to I.J. and Money Lovelace Roberts. She married her husband Warren G. “Hoot” Deacon on January 1, 1951 in Alamosa.
Betty was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing. Most of all she enjoyed passing time watching television and especially watching the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos.
Betty is survive by her children Max (Karen) Deacon of Monte Vista, Mike (Vickie) Deacon of Eagle, CO and Tracy (David) Price of Phoenix, Arizona; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Her parents, two sisters, one brother and her daughter Karen David all preceded her in death.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Rogers Family Mortuary Chapel in Monte Vista. Interment will follow services in the Monte Vista Cemetery. Contributions in her memory are suggested to the Colorado State Veterans Center at Homelake.
