Anita Bailey:

Sanford life resident Anita Bailey, 86, passed away peacefully in her home on October 25, 2016. Anita was born in 1930 to Irma Tobler and Stanley B. Bailey. The oldest of seven children she graduated from Sanford High School in 1948. Anita married Robert O. Bailey on January 29, 1956. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City “LDS” temple. They have seven children – Lour Lee (Jim) Hartman, Doris Ann (Bob) Garcia, Gregory Bailey, Kim Bailey, Gary (Elizabeth) Bailey, Robert “Buddy” (Robin) Bailey, and Dellana (Fred) Mote. They have fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Anita was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served many capacities throughout her life. The highlight of her service was a mission to Baltimore, Maryland.

Her hobbies were raising animals, gardening, crocheting, playing the piano, and genealogy. She was a very generous person, spending numerous hours doing community service and helping others. She is survived by five siblings.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert O. Bailey, both her parents, one brother, her sons; Gregory Bailey and Fritz Stock, and son in law Robert Garcia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Sanford Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A visitation will be held prior to service on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. in the Relief Society room. Interment will follow services at the Sanford Cemetery.
