Obituary for Angel Delph Martinez

Angel Delph  Martinez
Monte Vista resident Angel Delph Martinez, 26, passed away on January 4, 2017. Angel was a loving and caring person. He loved his dog Koda like his baby; he also loved Rashawn Aguilar, which was his adopted son that he was never able to have. He was a diehard Bronco fan; he loved going to Rockies and Broncos games. He loved sports, playing games and watching movies. His favorite food was hot dogs and hamburgers; his choice of beverage was strawberry milk. He loved spending time with his family and no matter what struggles he had in his life he always had a smile and made sure that everyone around him did too. He had so much love, joy and happiness in his life. He was a great and kind person, he delighted in giving to different organizations like; St. Jude, Save the Children, La Puente, ASPCA and the Tiger Fund. He liked to fish, tease and fight with people, anything he could do to see a person’s heart shine. He was a strong person who struggled in life and still kept a smile. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in 2008 and graduated from New Mexico University on line in 2011, he studied animation.

Angel is survived by his mother Lisa Martinez and his sister Natisha Rodriguez, his adopted brothers, Lupe Aguilar and Adam Aguilar as well as his grandparents, Kathy and Isaac Sierra, his uncle, Gaylin and Mea Sierra, his aunt Patricia and Keith Martinez as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delphino and Isabelle Martinez, Sr., his uncles, Delphino “Sonny” Martinez, Jr., Billy Grimaldo and Isaac Sierra as well as his nephew, MeaAngel Sierra and niece, Eternity Molina.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 14, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday January 13, 2017 also at the church. Cremation will follow the services.
