Obituary for Edna Joan Parker
Longtime Alamosa resident Edna Joan Parker, 76, passed away March 22, 2018 at the Penrose St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Edna was born in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Harold D. Hensley and Edna B. Eison on December 10, 1941. She married Jack Junior Parker and they enjoyed several years together until his death in 1976. She was loved dearly by her all of her family.
Edna worked in various positions throughout the years but most recently was an Administrator and Provider for Home Health Care. Her favorite thing was taking care of the people she loved.
Edna is survived by her son Lawrence Parker of Alamosa; her grandson Jesse (Carol) Parker of Ft. Collins, CO and their children: Judah and David Parker; as well as her good friend and companion Les Draves of Alamosa. She is also survived by numerous extended family and devoted friends that she loved very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two infant children and her brother Steve Hensley.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
