Obituary for Patricia Pagett Carpenter

Patricia Pagett  Carpenter
Manassa resident Patricia Pagett Carpenter, 67, past away on October 5, 2016 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. Patricia was born in Alamosa on January 21, 1949, the daughter of Boyd and Elma Pagett. She grew up in Manassa and graduated from Centauri High School and attended BYU where she received her teaching degree, and later earned her Masters degree from Adams State. She was married, had five children and later divorced.

Patricia is survived by her children and their spouses: Boyd (Cara) Carpenter, Lance (Kathy) Carpenter, Hollye (Jeff) Mitchell, Lincoln Carpenter, and Kellye (Steve) Vigil; her grand children Jocelyn Carpenter, Brett Carpenter, Garrett Carpenter, Matilyn Carpenter, Rebekah Carpenter, Katelyn Carpenter, Joshua Carpenter, Benjamin Carpenter, Abigail Mitchell, Alison Mitchell, Declan Carpenter and Raven Carpenter; her sisters and brother Joann Vance, Richard Pagett, Jane Harbour and Nancy McDaniel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked as an educator for many years as a 4th grade and special education teacher. Patricia loved being retired and spending time with her family, especially her grand children. Her friends and family will remember her for her kind heart, gentle soul, and dedication to her family.

A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Manassa. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Manassa Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in Manassa, CO. Interment will follow in the Manassa Cemetery.
