Obituary

William "Will" Ray Farmer, a man known for his intelligence, friendliness, and generosity, passed away on October 13, 2025, near Antonito, Colorado. Born on September 29, 1981, in Alamosa, Colorado, Will lived a life defined by his passions for mechanics, nature, and knowledge. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose gentle spirit and ready smile left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

Will possessed a brilliant mind and was known for his ability to fix almost anything that came his way. He was always willing to help anybody. His career was a reflection of his passions; he worked diligently on cars, earning him a reputation as a skilled and reliable mechanic. His work also extended to the farm, where he applied his skills as a laborer. This hands-on work was not just a job for Will; it was an extension of his innate desire to help others and to make the world around him a better place.

Outside of work, Will's interests were as vast as the cosmos he loved to study. He would often spend his nights reading about astronomy, absorbed in the marvels of the universe. His intelligence was matched by an exceptional memory, which allowed him to recall intricate details about the most complex of subjects. The majestic mountains of Colorado provided Will with a sanctuary where he basked in the tranquility and beauty of the natural world.

Will's endearing qualities made him a friend to many, and his absence will be keenly felt. He is survived by his devoted parents, Ronald and Lucy (Shoultz) Farmer of Manassa; his brother, Ronald "RJ" Farmer, Jr. of Manassa; nephew Ayden Farmer; aunts Joanne Salazar of Antonito, Roberta (Gary) King of Castle Rock, Judy Martinez of New Mexico; great-aunt Connie Richardson; and numerous cousins and extended family members who cherished his presence in their lives. Will was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandra Fritz, who he is now reunited in heaven with; his grandparents Doris and James Farmer, Lucy Sandoval Shoultz; his great-grandparents Gabriel and Lila Sandoval, his uncle Glen Sandoval, and several aunts.

Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa.
